Overview
Wisata Edukasi D9 is a nature-based educational tourism destination in Kalibening, Salatiga, Central Java — known as Lembah Bening. Born from D-9’s journey since 2017 as a cassava-processing home industry, it has grown into an open learning space that blends education, creativity, and exploration for schools, families, and communities.
I built the official website at wisataedukasid9.com — the destination’s digital front door, where visitors discover the activities, compare packages, and book their visit.
Key Features
- Conversion-Focused Homepage: A bright, nature-themed hero with clear reservation CTAs, followed by sections that walk visitors through the destination story, learning areas, testimonials, and packages.
- Activity Showcase: Card-based presentation of the six learning areas — Bale Being (main hall), Kebun Belajar (cassava farming), Rumah Produksi (Singkong Keju D-9 factory tour), Outbound Area, Mini Zoo, and Cooking Class — each with capacity badges and descriptions.
- Package & Pricing Pages: Structured pages for school packages (TK & SD) from Rp 60.000/pax, detailing what each tier includes, from factory tours and ice breaking to animal feeding and cooking class.
- Photo Gallery: A visual gallery documenting moments and facilities at Lembah Bening to help visitors picture the experience.
- Contact & Reservation: Contact page with Google Maps embed, operating hours, WhatsApp, and email — with reservation buttons placed consistently across the site.
- Custom Mosaic Slider: A bespoke front-end enhancement that upgrades the “Teman Perjalanan Kami” slider from one visible slide to three, with JavaScript that manages
inertstates so neighboring slides stay visible and accessible. - SEO & Google Integration: Fully integrated with search engines — Google Site Kit ties the site into Search Console and Analytics, so its pages are indexed and the owner can track how visitors find the destination.
- Speed Optimization: Lean assets and optimized imagery throughout, tuned so the site loads fast on the mobile connections most visitors use.
Technology Stack
- CMS & Builder: Built on WordPress with Mosaic Builder for the page layout, making it easy for the D9 team to update activities, packages, and photos without touching code.
- Custom Front-End: Hand-written CSS and JavaScript — including the responsive multi-slide mosaic slider that shows up to three images per view with a mobile fallback.
- SEO & Analytics: Google Site Kit connects the site to Search Console and Analytics — fully indexed by search engines, with page-performance insights.
- Media: Optimized photography throughout — hero imagery, activity cards, and gallery — tuned for fast loading on mobile connections.
My Role
I worked as the Web Developer for this client project:
- Site Build: Designed and assembled the full WordPress site with Mosaic Builder — homepage storytelling, activity pages, package pricing, gallery, and contact/reservation flow.
- Custom Development: Engineered the multi-slide mosaic slider (CSS slide-width math plus JS
inertmanagement), documented and delivered as reusable snippets the team can reconfigure between 2 and 3 visible slides. - SEO & Performance: Integrated the site with Google through Search Console and Site Kit, structured pages around the destination’s search keywords, and optimized loading speed with lean assets and compressed imagery.
